Professional Portfolio

All SLMP students are required to create a professional e-portfolio of work completed during their courses and clinical practice. The director will review the e-portfolio during or prior to the exit interview, which is scheduled mutually by the student and the director.

SLMP Portfolio Components
Required Components:
  • Philosophy or mission statement
  • Certificates of licensure (if any)
  • Evidence of successful completion of the ICTS Test of Academic Proficiency and LIS content-area test
  • Representative Projects from
    • LIS 773
    • LIS 721 and/or LIS 722
    • LIS 724
    • LIS 716
    • LIS 725
    • Clinical Practice (Student may seek advice from university and site supervisors in choosing evidence representative of clinical practice experience.)
Optional Components:
  • Current resume
  • Letters of reference
  • Certificates of honors or awards
  • Videos, photos, other visual representation of professional growth
  • Transcripts
